Norway pulls Call of Duty and Warcraft from shelves

Norwegian retailers have removed Call of Duty and World of Warcraft games from sale in light of the recent massacre and bombing which killed 77 people.

In his manifesto, which was published online, the killer saw Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 as a means to hone his skills.

He also used Warcraft as a diversion to explain the time he was absent planning the terror attacks.

Retailers Coop Norway and Platekompaniet temporarily removed all four most recent COD games, Black Ops, Modern Warfare 2, World at War and Modern Warfare, as well as Counter-Strike: Source, Homefront, Sniper: Ghost Warrior and WoW.

However, other retailers refuse to remove the games, and state that there is no correlation between games and the vicious attacks.

  1. I can kind of understand the certain groups removing the shooting games due to certain beliefs but whats wrong with World of Warcraft?
