The Day We Have All Been Waiting For: Potential Game Of The Year?

The game of the year is nearly here, and it's pumpin' to get you jumpin' and rockin' to get you floppin' all over your living room floor, Fergie-style. The Black Eyed Peas Experience has been announced for Xbox 360 (using Kinect, naturally) and Wii with a new promo video and we think it's safe to say it blows those dinky Modern Warfare 3 trailers out of the water.

The Black Eyed Peas are the second Experience installment, following Michael Jackson, because they're totally on the same level of pop iconhood. Ubisoft is set to release The Black Eyed Peas Experience "soon," but you can check out the trailer right now

Dreams have officially come true.

Two Big Titles Set To Hit XBLA, PSN Store's Next Week

One must commend Sony and the PlayStation Store team for getting so much content out in such a timely manner in the last few weeks. A barrage of PSN titles, demos, trailers, and so much more have hit the store since it was brought back online in late May. Though some big releases haven’t hit PSN yet, Sony has confirmed a couple of games will see release next week that fans have been asking about now for weeks.
The first title confirmed to be arriving on the PlayStation Store next week is EA and Vanguard’s Gatling Gears. Gathering much praise since its release on XBLA, Gatling Gears is a unique and fun title that is designed to appeal to gamers of all ages. Delivered as a top-down shooter, the game's vivid graphics and expansive level design is great for local and online co-op play with friends.  Fans of titles like Dead Nation or Super Stardust HD should look into Gatling Gears.
Secondly, Ubisoft’s Beyond Good and Evil HD will finally arrive on PSN next week. The wait for this title has been a very long one for PS3-only owners. Any fan of the original PS2, Xbox, or PC version of Beyond Good and Evil should put money aside to pick the title up next week when it lands on PSN.

Wii U Visuals Superior to Xbox, PS3

Wii U will not only match but beat out PS3 and Xbox 360 in visual terms "for some of the games", according to Ubisoft boss man Yves Guillemot.

When quizzed - as every developer at E3 will have been - on how Wii U compares to the other HD consoles, Guillemot replied: "I think at least [as powerful]. It should be even superior for some of the games. We don't know everything, so we have a few things Nintendo is telling us that will have such and such powers."

He goes on to confirm that the firm has had the Wii U dev kits for "quite some time", and that "from the beginning when we saw that console we were impressed by the level of quality of the experience you could get."

Guillemot is unsurprisingly optimistic of the opportunity for another capable platform in which Ubi can release its high-profile titles at little extra cost. "[Wii U] doesn't increase [development costs] very much because the advantage is in being close to the other machines, you can do the game for all the formats at the same time."

In contrast to Guillemot's statement, Ubisoft Quebec's senior technical architect Marc Parenteau told press its too early for comparisons between Wii U and the current HD platforms because developers have yet to learn their way around the new Nintendo hardware.

The Best and Worst of E3 2011

E3 definitely had its downs this year. Mr Caffeine single handily making a nation of gamers want to rip his voice box from his throat at the Ubisoft Conference, Countless number of ridiculous, pointless Kinect support from Microsoft and the now infamous AT&T announcement. There were also some fantastic pieces of software on show to give us fans hope. Battlefield 3, Bioshock Infinate, Elder Scolls: Skyrim impressed immensely, Just to name a few. Then there was Nintendo, Who for me, Truly saved what was the hugely important Press Conferences. Not only did they announce the Wii U, they also treated us to some top quality games for the 3DS including Mario Kart 3D, Luigi's Mansion 2 and possibly Super Smash Bros in the future. Also a treat to see Miyamoto grinning from ear to ear at the sound of the Zelda Orchestra. Yes there were definitely ups and downs, So here are the best and worst of E3 2011.
